Front Sway 01 LX? Ok iv done alot of looking and pokeing around and i am doing a LX to EX exhaust conversion........so i know that the LX sway has to be replaced with the EX, BUT i hear that the 01 LX's DONT HAVE a front sway so therfore i have nothing to replace for clearance. Is this a correct assumption? |
Actually, it's the rear sway bar they're missing, if I'm not mistaken... |
any more takers? thanks for the info |
Yep, no rear sway bar for the 01 lx. I think I read in a 7thgen suspension thread that the front sway is a 25.4 mm. |
hmm well im not sure but my 02 civic sedan lx has a stock front an rear sway bar |
yea i think in 02 they changed it they have both front and rear sway For ALL models. So i do need an EX sway bar if i want my exhaust to clear it. |
just buy a rsx rear sway bar. you can buy one for around $40-60 and it'll make your car handle better then the ex sway. |
According to THIS, the 01 has a 25.4mm front and no rear sway. So you will need the EX front sway for your exhaust conversion. And since you do not have a rear sway, buying a RSX rear sway won't help much since you don't have anything to connect it to. You will need to get the Progress adapter kit or look for those tabs to attach the endlinks to. |
thank you sir |
interesting, for 04-05 i found that the dx/vp, has neither front nor rear sway bar, but when i did the exhaust swap the ex front sway bar made a world of difference imo |
