i did a variation of this. since our thottle bodies are pointed up, the U-bend pipe is only enough for an SRI.
i'm still waiting for an air filter and breather to come in and i'll be done. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

This was posted a while back but it still works good. I actually used a TIG welder to weld the pipes back together in the right spots instead of using hose connectors. It works great although I didnt paint the inside of the pipe. I tried 3" pipe first but it rubbed on my hood so I redid it with 2 1/2" pipe (the same size as AEM) and it works and looks great!

yeah, the U-bend pipe is heavier than a typical intake but the weight difference is pretty insigificant. painting the inside would make a world of difference. it's not too hard to do so. just gotta be patient[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
