how many quarts of atf? how many total quarts of tranny fluid in the entire system for auto? |
Total = 6.2 US qt (5.9 L) / Change = 2.9 qt (2.7 L) (From my 05 owners manual) |
Yup, CraigW is correct. I put in 2.6L, just recently. |
2.9qts total fill capacity at my shop(according to our computer). thats after a flush of the system. Make sure you go thru all your gears after and then check though. And im sure you know this but to everyone that doesn't. Dont check the level while the car is running. Off and in park.. |
it the tranny is totally empty to include the torque converter its 9 quarts |
okay well i figured around 6qt and put in 6 oz of lubecontrol additive. either it fixes the slipping or makes it worse. either way i'll be happy :) i kinda doubt it will do much tho for the slipping. so far tho it shifts so smooth i can't even feel it sometimes. its just when its cold going 2nd to 3rd the rpm just revs up 500+rpm before it shifts. |
With that i would say speed sensor. But if no engine light it might just be time |
ya the engine light is not on. when the car warms up it shifts fine? beats me but it never slipped when cold before. i think its time for it to go, 45k is about the right mileage. some make it to 100k but those are rare. only heard a few cases of that happening. |
I have about 72K and no slipping at all really. I do however have that funny noise when i down shift. I think im leaking teanny fluid and its running low. |
see the weather got upto 55 today and there is no slipping at all when cold driven. i'm lost i guess below freezing is the only time it does it. so maybe i'm not done for yet. |
yeah its been cold but now its about 40....still doing it. its like a electrically whinding noise.....check the tranny....its filled to the top |
