Problem with AC after installing a CAI I got my CAI reinstalled (Had to take it off to get some warrenty work done) and sence then my AC isnt as cold as it was before. I also hear a hissing type noise coming through the vents. What could they have done to mess up the AC? I'm going to take it back to them but wanted to know what i might expect the problem to be. |
Think about this.. How could a part that has absolutely nothing to do with the A/C affect the A/C.. Answer it can't.. it's another problem. Also a CAI does not affect your warranty in the least so you don't need to take it off next time .. Take the car to the dealership and let them know about the A/C Problem. Cheers Mohawk |
I know the CAI had nothing to do witht he AC.. I just need to know if there was anything AC related around the CAI that they could of hit or bumped that could of cause the problem. The AC was working before they put it on and then i did after, just wanted to know if maybe they accidentally did something to it and not noticed..like one of the hoses..etc |
Nope.. Only thing it could be is a coincidence bro... |
I don't think they could have messed with anything in the area. I checked out ph0ng's DIY and I didn't see anything that they could have botched. Anyway, if they installed it and now there's a problem, then they should fix it. BTW, did I ever say that I don't trust anyone with my car but myself? No, well I just did. |
<< . BTW, did I ever say that I don't trust anyone with my car but myself? No, well I just did. >> same here, after all the damage shops did to my 88 dodge omni including breaking off the heater on switch, so from then on it just hung down not attached to anything but its wiring harness, breaking off the license plate light protective covering and losing clips for the trunk carpet |
