DIY: Painted Winshield Wipers???
 

i heard that people have been painting their wipers.... i was wondering for those people who do it what paint do you use and what do u put on it to seal it (like clear coat or what?)

my friend just cleaned the wiper holder real good........ primed it....... and than
used automotive spraypaint to paint it..... the paint u can get in a can at like
pep boys or sumthin....... worked great.

does it look good? I am really sceptical about how it would turn out...

I understand that it's your car and you can do what you want but I'm jsut wondering what a pic of that car might loook like. Hey it might even be pretty cool.

well i don't have a pic........ but there's two kind of paint you can get a pep boys,

The shiny paint, which has gloss to make it shiny (we didn't use this)
Than there's the none shiny paint the regular paint that has no gloss (we used this one)

It's a pretty easy job........ remove the winshield wiper holder...... clean it good..... prime it like two
or three coats and than spray it with the paint...... be sure to spray it with thin coats of paint....
son't use one thick coat because it will run and shizt........ it's not a pretty sight.

SO.......

Clean good....... prime........ than spray on several THIN coats of spray paint.
