Fuel system

Does anyone here know how much money and work it would take to eliminate the fuel delivery system of the 7th gen civic and replace it with the older style (external regulator).

Why isn't that an interesting question......from 2k2civc..... The easiest way to do it would be to find an ECU that can run coil packs and works on the old fuel delivery method of a VFPR, unfortunatley it looks like there were none that can do this. That is why AEM and HKS are working on a completly new ECU to support a turbo (I did my homework.) The easiest way to get a turbo (now) on a 7th gen civic is to do a head swap from an older D16 motor, and swap the ECU, Distributor and all the fun stuff. The are a few advantages of doing this. One is that you then can take advantage of the already available turbo kit for a D16 motor, atleast the manifold anyway, and also an aftermarket cam, and some other things. I had been looking for months for the cheapest/easiest way possible to make a turbo kit and that is about it, anyone else have any input?

everyone just needs to be patient. rev-hard, i believe, is gonna release a kit for the rsx very soon. the rsx and 7th gen civic utilize the same fuel system with the exception that the rsx fuel pump has a higher flow rate. apparently they think they have figured out the fuel problem. maybe hks could borrow a few ideas.

Just buy an S-AFC and adjust the fuel in whichever rpm point you want!!!

I was reading somewhere on here, I think that is was the topic in Products & Parts about the
HKS Turbo Kit, anyways, there is a company that offers a great displacement set of injectors and a new
fuel pump. Once the new parts are in place, get a S-AFC like Jimmy said and reset your fuel map
according to the driving conditions that your car is going to be exposed too.
