Need Help.. My fault? or their fault?
 

Ok, it's a been a couple days since i got my car aligned and i just noticed something.. There is a tare in my CV boot, and oil all over the inside of my wheel.. From the looks of it, it doesn't look like it was something from the road.. I have attached a pic.. but before i go and yell, does this look like my fault or their fault?

If it is their fault, i need to take it back tonight... LMK

Also, is it safe to drive for a few more days?? Seeming how it's the weekend, i doubt i will get this fixed by monday..

You would think that if it was like that when you got the alignment they would of said something to you. Usaually shops will tell you if they find something else when doing a job cuz it's more money for them. Besides if it was already like that before you went then the tech who did your alignment probably would have left hand prints in the cv boot grease cuz it's everywhere and impossible to avoid.

I'ts hard to say if the shop did it or not. It could of been punctured by a shop tool or something on the road. But you can be almost 100% certain it happened during or after the alignment. I think you should get the boot replaced like yesterday. If any dirt gets inside the boot or too much grease is lost, your cv joint will fail prematurely. It does no good to replace the boot if you leave dirt inside.

I think you should take your ride back to them. That's just becase I don't beleive in coincidence. Fact is everything was okay with your car until you took it to the shop....Then right after that a hole mysteriously develops in your cv boot...hmmm
