1999 civic power problem when cold Hi, i'm new to this civic forum. I'm planning to buy a 1999 civic sedan for my daughter, it has 100k miles with manual tranny. My friend, the owner, will sell it but it has a problem when cold. It starts well and idles well. The check engine light is on. When cold (like in the morning) when he goes on the road and push it a bit normally, the car hesitates like a missfiring. He says when he drops the accelerator and press it back that sometimes it is ok. A non Honda mechanic tried to get a code from the car's computer without success. He says that the problem is going worst. When warmed up it goes fine. Is it something common that some civics have? Any idea of what it could be? |
Re: 1999 civic power problem when cold you really need to check the code, any average code scanner will do it. that will tell you whats wrong. all you do is plug it in. it sounds like something simple, maybe tuneup related but hard to say. |
Re: 1999 civic power problem when cold Thank's for the advice. i'll tell him. I tought maybe someone would have had the same problem. Thank's again :) |
