Fuel Gauge Issue 07 Civic LX

After driving several miles every morning for the last several months my fuel gauge would look have two bars beside the F and none for the rest of the way down towards the E. I smack the piece of plastic and it goes back to normal for the,rest of the day until the next morning. Any thoughts? I took a pic if need to see it.

Sounds like it needs the gauge set. I believe you'd have to buy the speedometer assembly to get it from Honda.

Someone may be able to fix the gauge though, it might just need some resoldering. I have been able to repair a lot of electronics that suddenly work again when smacked.

You could try reseating the connector(s)

Saw something similar at 8th site, system uses backlit LCD display.
