1999 Honda Civic Motor Oil Hello!First time postin'I was told that a higher viscosity oil was better than the recommended type.I need an experts opinion. Thanks |
Re: 1999 Honda Civic Motor Oil I use 5w30 year round in NY weather and my car runs fine. Depending on where you live though, you may need a thicker or thinner viscosity. Where are you located? http://www.aa1car.com/library/oil_viscosity.htm |
Re: 1999 Honda Civic Motor Oil 5w30 is fine unless you have problems like leaks or burning. overseas civics almost all the engines use 10w30 recommended by honda (and usually the engines are the same or very similar). |
Re: 1999 Honda Civic Motor Oil http://MotorOilBible.com That will answer all your oil questions. I have a feeling the book is supporting the Amsoil company. But i can be wrong. |
