Fuel left when Low Fuel light goes on?
 

I just want to know how much fuel is left in the tank when the Low Fuel Indicator light goes on for my 2007 Civic Coupe. My Owners Manual, although it is listed in the index, somehow missed this information. I don't want to know how many miles I can go, because it depends on too many things - just want to know what level of fuel trips the light. Thanks!!

Mine comes on at 2 bars... and I have ran it 25 miles or more with 0 bars.

Fill the tank when the light comes on & subtract amount from tank capacity.

It is a fair amount still left though,

ur tank carries exactly 13.2 gallons.

ur light usually comes on about 11gal of consumption so u basically have 2 gallons left.

i get about 34 [combined hwy+street] mpg on my civic. so i know i will get ABOUT 60miles before my civic shuts off on me (havnt tried it, i dont want to. but in theory it should be that much if all variables are constant)


this info is good for 7th and 8th gen civics. both have the same fuel capacity.

From what I got at,
Most hondas will go about a 50~60 mile max range when light goes on
It's the same on my CR-V and Civic

Have a 2001 EX coupe with short gears and I've gone 80 miles @ 80mph (3500rpm) with the light on, no prob. DO NOT test it tho, you will rue the day you did.

02 ex coupe doing 80mph for 40 miles with light on before I stopped for gas.

usually 1-3 gallons. there is no exact amount. sometimes the light may come on early if the car is on an angle and go back off again.

I got 45 miles, but i was tense the whole time and when i shut off the car when i was at my girlfriends house then tried to start it up it took some serious prayin to get it to start.

I've gone 60 miles easily with the gas light on a few times already. One time I ran out of gas after about 80 miles. Luckily, it was on my own driveway.

I can say I went around 60 miles with the gas light on and was ok.
Then again my gauge is a bit off once it goes below 1/4 tank.
