1993 Civic EX not getting oil to the oil filter
 

Hey Whats up Newb here,

I bought a 1993 Civic Ex with 32,000 original miles on it. Prior to me buying it, it had sat in a feild for the 7 years. So0o0o anyways I brought it back to my shop to do a oil change and clean it up a bit. I drove it around a bit and wanted to change the oil agian. I drained the oil and removed the filter to find the filter BONE DRY!!! Whats GOIND ON HERE?!?

it could be normaly for it to be not filled with oil depending on many things. the only thing that will prevent oil to getting to the oil filter would probably be the oil pick up. take your oil pan off and clean out the oil pickup and also put a new gasket there (if it exists). that thing is probably clogged if oil was just chillin in there for 7 years.
