Can i only use honda ps fluid

Is it true that i can only use HONDA power steering fluid. Or can i put in whatever i want?

CraigW 03-15-2006 08:55 PM

I would not use any type of non OEM fluid in a Honda. Except Castrol oil.

Just make sure it says on the bottle that it is meant for Hondas. I believe that Hondas and Audis require Synthetic power steering fluid.

I dont think it matters or not if its synthetic for PS fluid.

Bah, either way...I could have swore something about Synthetic, but maybe I'm becoming senile 60 years early

Do you ever need to flush, or change power steering fluid, or merely top it off ???

lol it was an inside joke. S2k's dont have power steering fluid, since the steering is electrically simulated/assisted.

we have a lot of newbs that come on s2ki and complain cuz they can't find the power steering fluid reservoir.
