exxon/mobil vs chevron which you think is the better gas? i have both gas cards and wanna get rid of one :help: |
I would ditch the exxon card and stick with cheveron gas because cheveron uses techron which is considered one of the best products to clean engine deposits. They use a small amount, but it will aid in less deposits in the engine. |
i always use mobil gas. techron is garbage anyway, even the concentrated stuff. |
hmmm 1-1 i added a poll, wonder which i'll keep |
mobil is better IMO. but i've never researched it all that much. lol |
Chevron, everytime I fill up somewhere else it feels sluggish, but thats just on a butt dyno |
Chevron wootr woot |

chevron and shell are part of top tier...mobil/exxon isn't i believe |
i tried shell gas once (same octane) and the car ran like crap. Went back to mobil and no probs. |
maybe becuz your car got used to chevron mobile gearbox....but what do the rest of you think about chevron / shell they are both the same price in my area 2.47 per gallon... |
i use chevron |
gas is gas there all the same, go with the one that has more stations in your area or whichever one is more convenient for you. |
i just fill up at bp or w.e place is cheap but prefer shell, exxon, mobile, and bp(believe its mobile or exxon now) |
i use mobil because there is 15 stations on the same road within 7 miles two of which are across the street from one another |
I just avoid BP at all costs :) |
I used to use Chevron, now I use Mobil or Shell. I like Shell, but I get V-POWER in my premium, hehe. that makes up for my lack of vtech y'o VPOWER! I like all those, but I would keep Mobil over Chevron. Mobil is cheaper, and its good gas. |
Tryed the other guys, but Chevron Plus is recommended by old timer honda racers and dealers ETC. I'm sticking with Chevron PLUS later.... |
agreed ... I would choose chevron since it is considered a top tier gas and mobil isn't, afaik |
or use fp60 and you don't have to worry about top tier. Its not that great of a thing anyways. They raised detergent levels, but its still low enough to build carbon. |
I'm still sore at Exxon because they never cleaned up their oil spill in Alaska. But I still buy their gas on occasion. If you're a tree hugger, throw out the Exxon card. I my self prefer Sunoco. There aren't many chevrons in my area, so I really can’t comment on them. |

Which card gives you allows you to use it for auto related services at any service station? Which of those cards allows you to buy gas, no matter where you buy the gas? Would getting a low limit credit card, that offers discounts on gas, no matter where you buy that gas and the ability to use it for auto related repair emergencies, be of more help than a gas only card? No not selling a card, just giving you something to think about as an option. Chevron if you just have to keep a gas only card... |
hmm...seem where you guy live there is alot of moblie gas station around...i dont see one at all in my city (san francisco)...i usually use 76. and i would like to use chevron, but its super expensive here. $2.89 for techron! maybe i'll use plus since some guy on here said its good. |

I use costco, 76, chevron, shell, or mobil only, whatever is cheaper (no arco, or other small brands though). I cant tell a difference between them. |
i use whatever wawa uses. |
HONDA GAD FOR SURE  |
<3 chevron $2.59 octane 87 |
hooray for chevron.. |
id go with chevron since theyre top tier certified and exxon/mobil isnt, even though they claim that they probably exceed top tier standards. |
