- Bought my '96 with .4 miles on the odometer. I put 213,000 miles on an extremely reliable car. I have decided that I would like to turn the Honda into a highway rally machine. I have little money so it is a 9 month process culminating in an engine change in March 2019. I will stick with a stock 1.6L and gain a little horsepower with bolt-ons. I drive long distances on my free weekends...Portland and back, for example, and another sample, US 395 to Reno. I'm on the forum to see what other owners are doing and steal any good ideas. Hopefully I can pass on what little I know.
