Owner of 2010 Honda Civic. I took it to Mavis to check brakes. Brakes were fixed. Store manager was asked why was the car rattling under the hood when slowing down. He told me he took it for a ride and was 100% sure squirrels put acorns under the hood. Why did I believe him? Car has been rattling under the hood for 6 months when slowing down. Today the car cut off and died as I slowed down to turn into a parking lot. I backed it in in case I needed a jmp. I had to drive 16 miles r/t to a doctor, and nervously headed there but after 3 miles turned around and went home in rain. It stalled 3 times as I stopped for red lights, so I put it in neutral and gave it some gas. . When I got home the car had a toxic powerful smell coming into the car's cabin. My mechanic never answered his phone or returned my voice mail. I have no money and no savings for a car repair. What does it sound like?
