Would love to see some pictures if anyone has any.

A ghetto plastic peice from home depot does not count as custom.

Yea i remember your custom intake manifold, it was from a d16 right? Im looking to do something different to my engine bay. Every where i go all i see is Injen and AEM intakes. Theres a place not to far from me (a turbo shop) who will make custom intakes to suit your needs. ill be sure to post some pics when i get it.

I made a "ghetto" intake from home depot to see if performance would increase. I used plumbing tubing and mounted it to the underside of the front of the car so that air was forced into the engine and dropped in a k&n filter to replace the factory one. it did improve performance and i took it off for my 30k maintenance about week before because i was told that it alters the air to fuel ratio computation. whether they notice or not, is this a terrible thing for the long-term? in 2 years will i need to get a wing or rims or neons to compensate? just kidding there, but i am considering using the fog light spaces and dropping a few hundred dollars and directing air into the engine from there; possibly having the air intake ends that i have seen at car mod stores actually sticking out of the front of the vehicle. i know my performance will increase, and the engine air being cooler couldnt be too bad of a thing because i am moving to arizona. i would like to do this before i leave, but is there potential for serious damage? i recommend taking a few hours and attempting a ghetto mod for those with 4 cyl automatics. its only like 20$ and u can use it for a bong when you are done or something if you dont like it so you can drive around and feel like you are going faster. just try not to race any cops. i personally just took what the dealer gave me because i had credit and was afraid that it wasnt enough for a car; its cool that i can make it better than it was when i got it. this site rox. anyone have a link to this other ghetto intake? be gentle. im a newbie.
