Does anyone know what this is???
I put on the SRI and I changed the clutch in my car and I have noticed this thing (pic below) that seems like it was covered before and is not anymore. It looks like the stock intake connected there to cool the tranny maybe? Mechanics, please help me out.
Don't worry about it to much, its just an air inlet to the transmissiom, mine wasn't connected to the intake before but there was a little black rubber top that let the air in from the side, it has an arrow on the top, I would find that.

Maybe thats the overflow tube.. what happens is when an automatic tranny gets hot or if over filled it will spew out that tube. I wouldnt let it stay like that uncovered. See if Honda has one or what they recommend you do.
Was that guy serious?
Anyway, does anyone else with a SRI or CAI notice that same tube thing? I'll be installing my CAI soon, and I'm guessing I'll be seeing the same thing. Should I just cover it somehow?

It is a breather cap. You can buy one from Majestic Honda, item # 18644, costs, a whopping $2.42. All it does is allow the transmission to vent, the cap keeps oil from spraying all over and dust from getting inside.
