Kangaroo ride
I need advice on how to make my 2001, 4 door civic sit on the road better. I’ve had my car to Honda many times about this problem and all they say is that my original shocks and springs etc are 100% OK and within spec.
Many of my friends are telling me to change to Koni struts and springs, but what about warranty if I change.
Will Koni’s really solve the problem or is this a deeper Civic suspension problem? I love this car, but hate the unsafe kangaroo ride.

Stock is always the best.
Sadly, our stock shocks+springs combination isn't the great thus the ride is somewhat "bad" compared to other cars.
No aftermarket setup (including Tein SS) will give you the stock ride "quality" (<--ha)
Koni + any other springs will be worse than stock for sure. The spring and shock rates are different....hmm.. Visit the suspension forum for an explanation.

Just curious... do you still have stock tires? Cuz if you're complaining about the car being unstable, that may be the problem. Get something better than the stock tires and see what happens. Only reason I suggest it is that the ride in my car got much smoother when I ditched the shitstones. I think the tire is a cheap piece of **** and it flexes too much, causing the unstable feeling and body roll. Try something like Bridgestone Potenzas or some other performance all season (or straight up performance tire if you like) and see what happens. Maybe find someone who has a civic that has upgraded the tires and try them on your car... it may solve the problem. Might also want to try some upper front and rear strut bars to try to laterally stiffen the car up.

Yeh! My stock tires were changed about 2,000 km ago and made the ride feel nicer with slightly better road handeling, but all 2001 4 door Civics I've seen bounce on the rear. Watch them bounce going over speed ramps at 20 km\ph, then think how they would bounce on a poor road at 120 km\ph.
Maybe a rear stabalizer would help stop the bounce.
