About Turbo Discounters Extreme Kit?

Ok now does the Extreme Kit come with the Fuel System? From how i look at it it does, because looking at the comparision of the 2 the 1 Injection Control Unit, 1 Injector interface block with injectors is the Fuel System that is an additional $720. Could someone clarify this?

Yes, it does. And the interface will tell you your boost level, although it is not a dial. It's an LCD screen with push buttons above. You can navigate through the screens and see your boost level after a run.

I am very eager to put this on my 03 coupe. What kind of life span should we expect out of this kit? I mean if I spend the money, will it be "worn out" in thirty thousand miles?

We don't guarantee any mileage, but all the parts are guaranteed for 1 year, and the manifold for 5 as long as you keep it at or under 7 psi.

Garrett is the number one selling turbo in the world, they make excellent turbos. And with the new ball bearing core, it's just going to last even longer. These turbos will last a long long time.

Any plans to have a car with this kit showcased in a popular magazine (maybe SCC)? I'm sure they would make a cover story out of it. I second the notion of having a good "review" of this kit and it's performance including some dyno runs.

how doesnt want that. This is the only thing holding me and SPider from buying it now. One problem they dont have a 7thgen project car, the kit is still new so no one has it installed. One thing is still buggin me, the warranty i want a kit that i can raise the psi, this one you cant because itll voide the exhaust manifold warranty

I would too but having someone else install it beside my dealer would void my warranty. I can keep my 3yr warranty if i install it at Honda with a tech by my side. DAMNIT
Hey spider what do you think about the PSI thing? IM not liking that idea

i too am worried about the warranty for the turbo but i would take it to get them to use it as a test car but the warranty issue is a pain. But i want the turbo warranty but i dont think i could spend all that cash on internals and not be able to use it

The rest of the kit (after the turbo) is a very simple system, not terribly many moving parts so there isn't much to break down. A lot of care goes into these kits to make sure they'll last a long time. Since we're marketing towards daily drivers they need to be able to stand up to longer commutes, and they really do.

I had a few magazines hand me their cards when we showed our sponsored Accord a few weeks ago, maybe something will happen there, but I'm not holding my breath.

I assume you mean "business" cards, I would prefer it if you meant "credit" cards. It's a shame that they don't realize that an exclusive write up this early in the game is sort of a milestone accomplishment.

To show a bit more what the ICU does and how it works I've updated the fuel systems page on our web site:

Fuel Systems Page at TurboDiscounters.com

I went through all the screens of the ICU and described what they do, and how they can be changed. It's a great unit.

I'm not terribly happy with the pictures, I powered the unit with a 9V battery and between the gap of 3 missing volts and the the camera flash into an LCD screen - well, it was just a hard photo shoot.

I really want this thing and im even willing to buy w/o dyno numbers and things like that but i want the turbo and i want to run a higher boost once the internals are taken care of. If this is done ill loose warranty correct. Anything over 7psi.

The injector control unit is interesting. Do you make them in-house, or do you have someone make them? If you make them yourself, that is quite an accomplishment.

I was noticing the injector assembly myself. Looks to be very well made. I looked through the whole group buy...is it possible for my to buy the Superior but add my own BOV and Intercooler? Basically, I like your turbo, love the fuel system, but want a small spearco FM, and an HKS SS BOV. Thank you. If that isn't possible...are you considering at all on just selling the manifold? I currently own a T25 without BB, but the faster I get this started the better. Thanks again.

Okay, even before the warranty FAQ went up on the website I knew I would get slack about it. So I've been fighting to get it changed. The FAQ at TurboDiscounters.com has been changed. There is no longer a 7 psi limit.

They are made for us but an outside company.

Yes, that'll work great.

Unhappy I want one but...

I would really like to get this kit. Unfortunately, it's hard in my current situation to save the $3,100.00 for it. Even with the discount at group buy at $2675.00 (?) it still is heafty to me. Any ideas other than saving for an eternity or getting turned down for a large personal loan from my bank? I really don't know what answer I am looking for. Just wish the market was so big that a complany like this can do payment method of some sort. I know I know...Wishful thinking.

BTW I read somewhere that there is no shipping charge within the US. What about tax? Just curious.

Yup, no shipping charges in the lower 48, reduced shipping everywhere else (see the GD thread). Tax (8.025 %) only if your shipping / billing address is in California. (Which it looks like you are.)

Regarding your first, uh, question, I wish I could help. I think we're all in the same boat, there is always something(s) we want to do to our car(s) that's just beyond our financial reach. Hang in there, save up what you can. Decide what's most important to you for your car and if it's our turbo you'll get it eventually.
