Will B&G Coilovers fit a 2002 model?
Will B&G Coilovers fit a 2002 model?
I know that this has probably been covered before, but I just can't find a definite answer to the question. I see in the parts section that B&G coilovers are for "All Models", but it doesn't specify a year. At shox.com B&G's are not listed for a 2002 Civic, but they are listed for the 2001 model. At mmrusa.com they are just listed as 2001+. I have searched and read through the monster thread about B&G coilovers, but I couldn't find an answer. I am going to be purchasing them soon, and I just wanted to make sure that they will fit my car before I order them.
Thanks,
Dave

as the owner of a 2002 civic with B+Gs, I can tell you that the upper mount provided with the B+Gs is designed to fit the 2001 plastic bearing ring. the 2002's bearing ring is different, and doesn't sit in the mount correctly, but it will still do its job. The piece is easily forgotten, since it is practically glued to the stock's spring cap (and looks like it's actually part of the cap). when prying it off, be careful not to pop the ring open or bearings will scatter everywhere and you may get dirt inside. please read through this post for further information: http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...threadid=85403
another thing you have to watch out for during the install is described here: http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...threadid=89367
Good luck with your B+Gs!
