The Schrothe Rallye 4 is designed for the enthusiast who is looking for a DOT approved 4 point, 2" wide harness with the simplicity of a traditional push button release. It is equipped with Schroth's unique asmŽ system, which reduces the risk of submarining. A quick-release buckle enables you to disconnect the tail strap, allowing occupants easy access to rear seats when the harnessbelt is not in use.
This harnessbelt is designed to mount to the two stock rear seat lap belt anchor points (the 'D' and 'E' points). It MUST be installed with a SCHROTH tested and approved seat which includes most stock seats having a single or dual post adjustable headrest and nearly all aftermarket 'racing' seats.

Supplies needed:
- Schroth Rallye 4 Harnesses
- 14 mm socket
- 10 mm socket
Step 1:
Begin by removing the rear bench seat to get to the bolt points for the harnesses. The Schroth harness bolts straight to the stock positions. No modification is needed.
Use you 10mm socket to remove the bolt indicated below. Then just pull out the bench seat.

Attach the rear straps to the bolt positions(indicated by the green circles). You can go ahead and attack the driver side rear straps on the other side at this time too.
Use the 14mm socket to undo and redo the bolts for the belts.

Using the 14mm socket again, unbolt your seats so that you may gain access to the stock buckle. Unscrew the buckle from the bracket and place the lapbelt onto it. Re-tighten the buckle back on to the bracket. Bolt your seat back down tight.

Rep Power: 414 asmŽ is the abbreviation for anti-sub-marining, a mechanism created by Schroth to reduce the risk of submarining or sliding underneath the lap belt. Submarining can cause serious, even life threatening injuries to legs, spine and internal organs. How does asmŽ work? The device is positioned on the in-board strap of Schroth's double-shoulder harness. When the energy converter is deployed (caused by dynamic forces of instant deceleration) it forces the driver's torso and hips to rotate slightly into an asymmetrical posture which tightens the lap belt milliseconds faster.

Rep Power: 335 this may sound dumb but what happens wen someone wants to use the rear seats? they just unbuckle the harness? then what? you have to use the stock front and driver seatbelts?

The Harnesses are made to hold you still, upright, and tight into your seat. This harness is not a show piece. It is an actual functioning harness used by many race car teams(usually autocross).
If you do it right then the buckle and lapbelt will be across your legs and hips. When getting in the seat always tighten the lapbelt into place first and then tighten the shoulder straps.
It is NOT safe the have the lapbelt across your stomach or waist. This could allow you the submarine in and accident.

The total cost including quick grips and shoulder pads came to $388 shipped.
Yes you can still use your stock belts with racing seats.

They don't mount to the floor. The mount to the stock positions of the existing belts. The one strap mounts to the buckle bolt on the side of the seat and the other strap mounts to the bar where the strap is.

Rep Power: 0 Thank you, I know that. I mean, that it looks ghetto mounted to the back seat saying it is usable and people can sit in it. I was thinking of trying to mount it right behind the seat to the floor. Custom.
