BLKCIVIC pick me up and I'll do a burnout in your car, or better yet rent a manual car. Theres only 4 steps to it...
How about a burn out too?
Put two McDonald trays under the rear wheels, engage parking brake, turn steering wheel, and apply gas!

I can drive now... I just ignore my rear view mirror when I take off... last time I was shifting at 5K, I dunno why. I'm serious I can do a burn out. Originally posted by Blkcivic

Nah I wouldn't do this to show off... its such a waste of tire, strain on the transmission and the brakes.
yo i am lost in that diagrams
sigh
and burnout killed the clutch also
go get a licence first then learn how to do standard properly
cuz anyone can do a burnout but it's how good u do it without killing your car
i personally wont do burnout on my car cuz it is not worth it and what's so good to see a big puff of white smoke coming out from the wheel well?

hah ... that story is too funny ... hahah ... kinda like the video of the MR2 trying to do a burnout or something stupid and smashing into a Jetta
and AzimuthX how can you claim to be able to do a burn on if:
A: you barely know how to drive and are an inexperienced driver
B: you cant drive stick ... weren't you posting about how to not stall a few days ago?
Go Leafs Go!

Just because I can't drive stick good doesn't mean I cant do a good burnout.
Beside it was an article from a tech magainze, tried it for 10 seconds, than stopped after saw smoke.
It is
Start Car
Handbrake Disengaged
Clutch, Shift to 1
Bring Revs Up to 1K Below Redline
Release clutch slowly
*does burnout*
Disengage handbrake to drive
Even without hands on experience its kind of obvious that will work...
The parking brakes locks up the rear wheels... the front drive wheels are being over powered thus loosing traction.

dude... you have NO idea what your talking about .... were not talking BURNOUT as in TAKE OFF... were talking burnout while you stay in one spot......
ONLY experienced drivers can pull it off... it aint no rookie ****
sorry dude.....
if you try this ****... lemme know... I'll park down the street...

OKAY AGAIN, there is a big BIG misunderstandment with my post. Geeze you guys sure like to bash on me...
I would never do this again though...
Technique described above is a burn out, the car does not move, when you desire to stop, than disengage handbrake and the car will take off, otherwise the car will be stationary.
I will not do this again though... feel free to experience it by yourself, I gurantee you it will work.
Practical -> Go try it
Theory -> The parking brake is used to maintain the correct clearance between brake pads and rotors. By just using the parking brake, the rear brakes are engaged, thus will lock up upon take off. With the engine revolving 6000 times a minute, it will cause the drive wheels (front tires) to spin and lose traction, this will create friction between two surface and than smoke is created. It seems logical...
Okay ****. I will avoid making posts in this forum, I'm off the OT because lets see, I always get bashed at ie... rotors can warp, or how i can do a burnout, or how the h22a is the best drag motor yet the b20 w/ b18 is a good setup for autox.

I dont think we're bashing, we're just questioning you claims ... you say you can do a burnout, but you can hardly drive ... who wouldn't question such a claim.
you then back it up with some magazine article about how easy it is ... you know what kid, in most things automotive, if you're an expert its easy ... look at the magazines and how easy it is to swap engines ... a real swap is never just that easy, unless you've done it 1000 times
