Volk GT-P's - are there any SIMILAR wheels for LESS?
I LOVE these rims - but MAN are they pricey! I'm not specifically looking for the name, or whatever, but I just love the look (flat, straight, with rivets around the rim - and deep dish to boot!)....

Thats one I haven't seen a knock off of. The closest style I can think of is the Racinghart CR Evo, but other than that, I don't anyone's done it. The Volk GT-C seems to be the knock off of choice this spring, so maybe in a few months that one will be done. It's a tough rim to knockoff though because of the diamond finish... it'll be tricky to match and do it cheaply. For multi-piece rims, they're pretty cheap. $1500 for 2 piece 17's is pretty in-expensive.

On Ebay - it seems that some of the local "dealers" still want a lot for these rims (like $200+). Ebay seems to be the best bet.....

Turns out the Ebay rims are only 5 lug.....Rules that out (what a great deal too!). I called Hiper again to find out if any dealers exist locally here in Houston - they do. BUT they still want a lot for a tire/wheel package - something around $1200!!! Man, if I could get these rims for LESS than $200 a piece that might be a deal -
Don't get me wrong, its still cheaper than Volk, but does anyone know of the quality of R1 Racing? Who know's I might just spring for them.....

Decided on the GTR-6 rims - got a killer deal on the rims $665 shipped! Now all I need are tires. Thinking of the Sumitomo's 205/40/17's from tirerack.com.....It seems that they are highly rated!
