I know about carcostcanada.com. But since I'm not buying, obviously I'm not going to join. Don't think I'm cheap or anything... just trying to help my friend, but I figured I ask on here and maybe someone would be nice enough to post their invoice prices and dealer markups if they used carcostcanada.com and other similar service. I'll convince her to either join or be prepared to spend time bargaining. She doesn't really know much about cars. At the very least, I'll get you guys to post a bunch of On-The-Road (OTR) prices and where you got the car + sales rep's name. Post even if you didn't buy an LX... as long as it's a 2003 Civic (not SiR), it will help. Thanks ppl.
Also I'm going to warn you guys to stay away from Richmond Hill Honda just north of Yonge/7. We went there and the guy Doug wouldn't even deal with us (talk about anything lower than MSRP) unless we were committed. He said an offer means if his manager accepts it, then we're ready to buy. They even asked for my friend's credit card to prove the she is somewhat committed. What a moron... price is a big factor. My friend isn't exaclty ready to buy yet. Good thing Honda cars sell themselves, or else you have these dumbass sales rep kicking customers away. It was really dumb. Not only that, both my friend and I are Chinese and he was using his hand sanitizer after he came back from the test drive in front of us... umm... very rude I find. Then we talked to the manager who happens to be Chinese... he made us a little less upset about what happened but we're definitely not going back... maybe to waste their time, but not to buy from him.

wow..bad sales....
don't go to north markham honda either...i hated their sales...
i went to kitchener honda...my mom knows the sales manager...
i bought a 2002 LX coupe auto
so we got invoice price + freight + other admin stuff which came out to roughly MSRP...and then tax... so around $22000 something...
then i got a spoiler and got them to tint and rust proof, under proof, scotch gard, etc...
and it was a bit under $23000 on the road...
but seems to me that maybe others got it for cheaper...

You got invoice price? Hookups next time
North Markham Honda hardly negotiates well... as well with their sneaky ex sales manager who put on aftermarket **** because it doesnt say "HONDA OEM ...", stupid cheapass parts put on the CR-V
Want invoice price?
Pay for it
http://www.carcostcanada.com *LoL I just read your post*
Use it for your knowledge to negotiate.
My uncle just got quoted for 28500 for the element after everything... (monthly payments of 470 for 5 years)
My cousin got a 2002 Civic LX Sedan Sport for around 23.5K OTR... after trade it was 21Kish

The markup for civics isn't much, the sales guy still needs to make money, I mean it's not really too worth their while to sell a civic that would give you an good deal and make only like $200. But if you guys want to be referred to a really good, ginuine sales rep that will try his best to give you a good deal, or at least throw in a lot of accessories to make it worth your while them pm me.

great thing about buying/leasing this way, is you dont have to put up with BS. Worst you can do is paying MSRP.
sure you may not get some of the perks, but my dad has known this salesman for a long time, and we trust him. sometimes, that's all you want, a trustful guy who wont bullshit you for profit.

well, bullshit is one thing... price is another... I know many people who are willing to put up with some bullshit to get the best price. of course if the difference is small, I'd go with the party who is bullshitting less, a sales guy who knows what he is talking about and at least treats the customer with respect
anyway, keep those prices coming.
I think so far the best quote we've come up with is about $22,000 OTR for a 03 Civic LX Coupe.
Yup Civic markups aren't that much... and I understand the sales guy still need his commission, I guess the guy at RH Honda pretty much knew we weren't buying and decided not to waste his time even trying to keep our interest. It's his lost because my friend is going to buy the car, it just won't be from him. And now he's got me bad mouthing on here.
