New color on mustang?

New color on mustang?
I saw this mustang today, and it was this purple, electron blue, looking color. It was on one of the newer mustangs. What is the name of this color? I really liked it.

Here is our 02 Sonic Blue GT convertible
and a shot of it in bright sunlight
Its interesting, when we got ours, it was pretty new. It was offered mid-year 02. Infact, it was the only one on the lot, and the salesdork only knew this about the car: "We got that one in the other day, dunno what they call the color, and we weren't expecting that car, but it is ours".
Haven't seen too many around here in the NW. So far, I've seen 1 V6 coupe, 1 GT coupe, and 1 03 Cobra convertible in that color, and we've had ours for a year now.
Its a very pretty (to me) color.

There are only 2 blues in which the new mustangs come in. And trust me, the other one isnt it.

Agreed fully. Infact, the early 2002 brochures don't even show Sonic Blue, just the True Blue color.
BTW, there was a "purple" color offered back in ~94-95 on the Mustangs that looks very much like, well, purple... but no mistaking it for Sonic Blue, even with a mal-adjusted monitor

Rep Power: 0 There's one Mustang Cobra here in Peorai that's that color! It's gorgeous! I love it!!! I think the poor guy driving it thinks I'm drooling over HIM when i see the car... hehehe (and I'm not... he's ugly... and I have Greg to drool over! hehe)

Rep Power: 285 Actually, there is a possibility that what he is talking about is True Blue. Although Sonic Blue would be the obvious guess as to the color he saw because it kinda looks purple ALL the time, in BRIGHT sunlight, when its clean, True Blue can definately have a purpleish look to it (My friend has a True Blue 2002 GT). I would still guess that you saw a Sonic Blue Mustang because it can look one way and in different light look totally different, but there is a chance that what you saw was True Blue. In that case, it would have been a MUCH darker, deeper color than that of a Sonic Blue stang.
