its not as fast as it should be for a turbo car, i think i heard it runs 15.3's somewhere. I mean the Neon runs 14's and costs about the same. i don't see why anyone would buy the mazda speed over the srt4, maybe its alittle more reliable but besides that

Rep Power: 0 ehhh, matter of tase, i for one would never buy a car like the mazdaspeed protege or the srt-4. if i'm buying a turbo, it's gotta be connected to a wrx sti or something above that. i like the wing, the kit and the wheels though.
oh and noodles, i just drove a 6s today for teh first time... (a lady in my office bought one last week). man, that thing is sweet, it's the slapstick, but the engine sounds nasty (in a good way) i only got to take it around the parking lot, but i'll get it out on the road on a good day... it's raining now anyway...

to match that of the mazdaspeed? Also given the SRT does not have LSD. The price
to add LSD, plus suspension mods, you could add enough boost on the Mazdaspeed to match
the SRT4. Given i'm also willing to bet the make and finish + reliability surpasses the neon.

There is a lot more to a car than just speed. And the fact that its a neon is enough of a reason for me not to buy one. That car is ugly UGLY UHG-LEE. At any rate, the reason its cool is because you can modify turbo cars easier, hell its already got the plumbing for it.

Rep Power: 0 my buddy test drove one. he has a jetta 1.8t and he said his jetta pulls much harder than the mazda. the mazda is a sweet car though. suspensin wise, out handles the 1.8t, better sound system, nice wheels, nice kit and spoiler, only a few thousand nade tho so there wont be many to buy, only a few colors, bright orange, bright blue, and black. the car will be easily upgraded in the future more than likely. would still problly buy an srt-4 before the mazdaspeed protege though.

anyway i test drove the black one last week and the handling was great but the power was lacking a bit for a turbocharged car.maybe a little adjustment can fix that?

he told me that there were only several thousand being made, so basicly they are LE. and i believe he told me they only come in orange and YELLOW. for goodness sakes, the pic on the first post is yellow
and i was thinking about mods down the road, and thought that since its le, that it will prob have normal masda 6 stuff, but not so much for the stuff thats on the le? eh just a thought.

Rep Power: 0 The first batch was Spicey orange and Mica Black. The Mid year refresh will come in Blue, Yellow w/ addition changes to the car including the gunmetal racing harts, different front bumper, different spoiler ...

Rep Power: 0 I seem to recall hearing that they basically just added a turbo the the MP3 (hence the low boost). If they didnt lower the compression, you can't raise the boost too much...
Not sure what the comp. ratio is, but I think C/D said it was the MP3 motor with a turbo added with low boost.
