What do you think of a K&N drop in filter into 02 Civic?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of putting in a K&N drop in filter into my 02 civic ex because on my sunfire I put in a short ram AEM intake and hated it. I didnt see any gains but just trouble out of it plus having to clean the filter off and on.

The civic is so smooth when I drive it that I dont see how it could get any smoother by putting another filter into it but I want to make sure my car breathes easier so I'm thinking of going the safest way to mod and that is put in a K&N drop in filter. Any suggestions or am I wasting my money?

I got one. i like it. extra 3-4 mpg.

dont feel any performance gains but hey, extra mpg.

its not a waste of money. reusable filter. it'll make the money back in no time in terms of mileage save and filter cost saved.

yeah. but the 1st change will cost 30-40 bucks.. which offsets the cost of the K&N drop in filter.. which will outlast your car.

I have the drop in also. I love it. This reminds me that I need to clean it. It has been in for almost ayear now. It is defenitly worth the investment. If you take care of it, it will last the life time of the car.

It's worth it for the simple fact that it will last the life of the car. It pays for itself, a couple times.

Get the FIPK II...It's awesome.

If you don't want an intake, just a re-usabe filter, than K&N is the only way to go.

It all depends on what you want.
