oh what a ****in night i had, sit back and relax b/c this one might take a while,
well everyone posted that the k&n air filter cleaners were on sale, so i decided to go buy one,
and i followed step by step on how to clean it and everything went well
but i was short on time so the filter didnt dry in time for me to put it on, so stupid me i put on socks to act as a filter (NEVER EVER EVER DO THIS) and i drove normally and everything was fine, until after work
i was driving down the road and i decided to boot it, stupid me
i started driving and noticed that the RPM's started climbing with out me pushin on the gas, and i put it into neutral and the RPMS rose higher :S and then i just stopped it and shut down, i pop the hood and look where the socks should be, and low-and-behold the socks are not there so i contiplated, option (1) i good jump onto incoming traffic b/c its pointless to tell my dad what happened (2) sit in the car, start it up and drive into a brick wall head on going @ 100, (3) call gus, [THANK GOD I DID] b/c if i hadn't i liked option (1) a lot
ok well gus tells me to take apart my intake assembly so i do, piece by piece, and at the throttle entrance what do i see? a pair of socks that i once wore but will burn b/c they scared me half to death, and i thought ok if i pull out the sock everything should be fine.....you all might be assuming hey ya its probably fixed, but today nuttin went my way so no the problem was still the same, so at least now i had the car moving and most the problem fixed i decided i would take it to honda the next day (cuz this all happened around 9:30pm) so i put the intake on, but no filter b/c i didnt wanan use socks again, you wonder why? so i drove home, the worst ride ever, couldnt brake, couldnt give gas, :S just too many problems, so i got home and decided i should investigate more being the mechanic i am :zbsflag: so i take the intake apart again and look inside the throttle body to find ne pieces of sock of lint, so i find some and i pull it out, and i pushed the valve cover in the opposite direction and i get back in the car and what do i hear,
are u ready?
idling: the sound of a normal engine. well **** that was my brush of death, so now i figure if my engine could handle this situation i am postive she can handle turbo too
just some shout outs for tonight - GuStO - no doubt the man that made it happen, i owe u large (lunch at jack astors sunday on me)
The guy in the background of gus' phone, i think vinny, mad props son
and the black guy who stopped to see if i was ok, he wasnt much help but he kept his car in front of mine to see the inside,
thanks to the world!
i have to start myself again, not feeling so fresh

thats a new way to 'put a sock in it'
glad everything worked out okay....just hopefully there isn't anymore lint or dirt inside the motor.......and if there is....hope that the motor dies before your warrantee expires.....this way you can put your stock airbox on and claim warrantee

i have an aem cold air intake i i took the bottom piece off and did it as short ram with half the tube and put the sock on the top half near the top of the engine
never again, i will bring the sock to the meet so everyone can take turns burning it piece by piece,
i dont even wanna show my face at the meet b/c ppl will laugh at me
i will get my sister to drive

"why a sock" b/c it acts as a filter when u dont have one present, think about it, it is almost as fine as the filter but not quite, everyone at school did it before but i was the only one to **** up when done

here goes my life, the reputation i tried building, and ne possible friends at sundays meet
Dude...everyone makes mistakes..I have done some pretty dumb **** in my life....not making fun of you...just trying to make light of the subject. I mean hey.....at least you were smart enough to put SOMETHING over the intake..I know people that would have just gone without.
