What does everyone think? Are we gonna see Bush on TV again at 8, officially declaring war on Iraq? Or are they going to delay it? I hear there is some crazy sand storm in Iraq too!

It's been a pretty stressfull couple of months, and especially the last couple of days. I hope it would never come to this, but it has.. We could of continued with the inspections and maybe come up with something.. maybe even lifting sanctions on Iraq would of been a good idea.. let them breathe a little..

One thing that I am confused about is how the hell are the american stock markets able to have positive gains when war is coming? weird!!

I hope this will be quick war and that there will be minimal if none civilians and troops dying!!

The markets always do well when something goes from "maybe" to "yes/no". Odd but it's true, before no one knew really what was going to happen with the war so people were hesitant to buy stocks. Now that war is more or less been assured more people have an idea of what might happen. Odd I know As far as the war goes - I really hope that the Iraqis don't do anything over the top (IE use and Chem/Bio weapons they may have). I hope they realize that it would do them no good and would just cause even more nations to start to attack their country. Saddam should have just given up power, and left. This way no one dies, the Iraqi people could vote for a new leader and this would have gone a different route, with a lot less blood shed I'm guessing. really goes to show you that Saddam really doesn't give a sh*t about his own people, he only cares about being in power.

yeah I understand..if I was him I would od taht...
but that's the whole point of the war.
the Iraq or Saddam is saying "WHy the F*ck do I have to do what you tell me to do? Who the hell do you think you are?"...

I mean ...basically this war is happen because Saddam doesn't obey the US...but thena gain...the question is..why does Saddam have to obey the uS....like I am not on saddam's side...he has his own fault...but US has their fault too....I think both sides have their own faults..but I am against war...but anyways...I will pray for the world....

i heard a debate yesterday..that at one point Sadamn was gonna give up and surrender..or go into exhile..but..the US did not accept..because he only wanted to leave power but still stay in IRAQ...the US don't want him there at all..because they want to control the OIL...that is what was said in that debate..

The only way I see war bringing in money is through government spending tax dollars on building more military equipment. This gives money to a select few firms that will make these parts.. etc etc.. BUT -- When you look at the economy as a whole.. Individual Consumer Consumption is the biggest factor of growth (Y=C + I + G + IM/X).. Consumer confidence in the states is at its lowest in years.. People are not investing in business (look at equities right now) , but the government is spending like mad.. this is not good economic policy.. Greenspan is so old he doesn't know what do to.. Interest Rates in the states cannot go lower.. and since Bush came into power they have had a huge deficit.. plus, the American dollar has gone down drastically.. I have no idea how the american people got convinced that this war will help their country, economically and politically... In the past 6 weeks, America has had tremendous failure diplomatically.. the EU is split, the UN is almost non-existant.. argh.. this is a HUGE mess..

but I do agree with you.. make love.. smoke weed..

I agree with you that Saddam should of left power!! He doesn't understand that! And why didn't the Arab league help? why didn't they say that they want saddam to leave?

I think the US has split motives on this whole Iraq invasion.. and I smell Ariel Sharon's hand in this!!

If US has control of Iraq then Israel has control of Iraq.. hmm.. If Israel has control of Iraq then they have control of Middle East.. hmm..

Yeah but that was long time ago. IF the Bush really wanted to JUST stop saddam from killing his own ppl , he would have done this earlier..

THere are many other reasons for this war, and most of those reasons are for US's own interest.

Just my opinion..not protesting or anything, since it is too late anyways, all I know is the world is becoming a less peaceful place and I am only 21, so there is probabluy more to come. Maybe I should move to Norway with my family and my gf, Canada might become a dangerous place 10 years from now.

THat;'s true true...but there isn't really direct Link to the terrorist and saddam..I mean he does support it..but if BUsh really wanted to get the terrorist, there are so many rich guys in Russia that he can kill....I think he just want Saddam coz he has so much things he wants.

I don't think Bush is interested in peace......but anyways..hehe no more debating, just prayers to the Iraqi ppl.....and to the world...

I'm not against the war. Bush has a point in overthrowing Saddam because he's a dictator and he's just plain WRONG! He kills his own people if they go against him... where's the fairness in that?
I'm totally for the war and I'm sure alot of the iraqi people want this to happen too it's just that they can't voice their opinion or else they get executed.
