"an mbc set at 15psi is going to move a bit faster than bone stock. most people say it builds more boost in first and second, and builds it faster. there are downsides, but i'll stick to the upsides for now.
first is kinda load-limited to about 10-12psi on this turbo it seems. on that same note, if you set an mbc to 15psi in, say, 3rd gear, you'll probably be able to eek out about 15.5+ psi if you hold fifth"

No, IM not putting anything up against anything else. These guys had a camera, ran into each other and raced. WTF do you want?

The looked about equal to me. The start is what made all the difference. The neon got his half car lenth to 1 car length from the launch and then they both stayed in almost the exact same positioning until the end. Looks like a case of driving skills won this one.

SRT won plain and simple...not sure if they were still racing but he took off at the end like a bat out of hell.... I'd love to see one in person, but here in Canada we have the SX 2.0 ...not sure if its the same as the SRT ....

Why are we comparing a modded wrx to a stock srt?
Almost anything modded can beat a faster stock car.
And even if the modded wrx won the race, it wouldn't matter, nothing to be proud of,
cuz the SRT could be modded just as much and then that's another ball game.
It should be this: Stock Srt > Stock wrx. period.

Though to be fair, one thing is straight line acceleration and another racing trough winding roads. That is where most American cars loose because of the suspension tunning.
Remember the Super Bee? Basically a Dodge Dart, which became the shadow, which became the Neon...
They are still ugly cars and look cheap though, but that 2.4 liter turbo certainly kicks ***, I´ve seen stratus R/Ts (same engine) kick a mustang´s *** (a GT)

okay, how much is the srt boostin. well, i now that it is not as low as a stock wrx. my brother has a wrx and from the factory the come boostin 12.5 lbs. that is it. fuel cut off is at 17.5lbs. match the srt and wrx boost, and see who wins. plus, the wrx has to be a lot heavier than the srt doesnt matter if it has two passengers or not. think about it
the only reason the srt-4 won was cause it got a better jump
the wrx atually started reeling him in before he shut it down
so basicly the driver of the srt was the cause of this win
