Problemed Civic...Letter to Honda...???
Hey...I've had many problems with my stock '01 Civic Ex Coupe...the main one being my suspension, or lack there of one. The other main one is my rocking seat. I've tried 2 different dealers in San Diego and also called Honda's 1-800#. I can't get them to fix my car so far...they say that there is nothing wrong with my car. Has anyone ever wrote an official letter to Honda to address problems? and if you have...did you get any results from this letter? I am at my wits end with my darn car and I don't know what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Screw the letter.... get on the phone. It's faster. Just rat out the dealer(s). There are known problems with both the rocking seat and the front suspension that are on TSBs (Technical Service Bulletin)... it's Honda's secret way of acknowledging a problem without issuing a recall for it. That way you have to bring it in if you have the problem and they don't look bad for recalling everything. I have called out my dealer to Honda before... because they were asses, I walked in with the printed out TSB in my hand... they still refused to fix it saying it was normal... one call to Honda, they've been kissing my *** ever since.

Bitch bitch and bitch some more. My seat was fixed when my dealer took my car to an upholstry (sp) shop, and had the whole seat frame fixed. Have them do that. The struts are just ****. They are a pain in the ***, but Honda replaced the spings and the shocks. Have them do both, mine are now fine.

but how do you get them to fix a f*cked suspension when they tell you...and I quote..."Your Civic has a European suspension...that's why you can feel all the bumps and ruff roads." Is that a bunch of crap? I just about busted out laughing in the guys face. I have called Honda before...talking with Tina (operator 118088) and she promised me that she would set up a meeting with the regional service dude...well that was supposed to happen back in December. The b*tch never called me back, nor did the regional guy. So, seems the only thing I haven't tried is the letter thing....

Yeah.. a European suspension in a Japanese car built in Canada. Suuuuuuure.
Go test drive an Audi and bring it to service guy and tell him you want the ride that it's European suspension offers.
