Point of distributorless engine

I used to have a 95 vic and it had a distributor and I bought one of those modded ecu chips offa ebay. Those chips really make a difference in sound and acceleration...I asked the guy selling them why they wont make one for our 7thgens and he said its because our cars dont have distributors....I dont Really understand why our cars cant because no distributor....but also why do you think they went distributorless with our engines.....

the worst thing about the distrubutor and spark wires is if it gets wet enough... uh oh.. can't start engine untill you dry it off real good or buy that moisture displacer in a can...

the whole distributorless design is more effeciant. No wires less resistance........ the spark is all computer controlled. and since there are fewer parts it costs less to manufacture.
