Clearing and painting headlights by gusto

Hey everyone. I'm from the GTA and am looking to get my headlights cleared and the housing painted by Gusto. Before I do it I was wondering if anyone has pictures of their headlights that have been done by Gusto, if you could post some pictures that would be great. Thanks.

i def. recommend Gusto for this..

especially if you've never ripped off yer bumper before or anything along those lines.. (to this date, Gusto is still the only person that's done that to mine..maybe i'll have to call him when the new grill get's finished )

Thanks for all the posts guys. I'm gonna get gusto to do it for sure, but I want to "smoke" my headlights instead of painting the housing, so I want to figure out how that is done (with some sort of spray i think?), and then do it with gusto when he clears the headlights and puts the bulbs in.

gusto charged me $50 and i think that's the price he charged for everyone

u have to setup an appointment with his secretary then u go to his house and park your car inside his garage and he will begin taking your front end apart and after it is done u will go like - nice headlights

I think I've finally got the ***** to blacken my headlights, just need two things cleared up though. What kind of paint do I use? Bbq paint? Secondly, I was reading the DIY on clearing headlights for the 6th gen civic on the TCC website and they suggested heating the housing in the oven. Has anyone done this before? If so, what temp and how long?

Sorry if I'm not a pro at paying for and watching other people painting my headlights. I asked a question because it's my first time attempting anything of this nature. If you don't have an answer to the question, it's cool. No need for the smart *** comment though. As for heating the casing in the oven, it's been done by other members on the forum. Just wanted to know if anyone in CanEast has done it.

Clearing?.. GuSTo is the man... I don't like putting my hands through that kind of pain haha
Plus.. he has his "tricks" after doing so many

4 Chan. amp install? I can do, email me if you're interested... either at my place or GuSTo's... tell me what you have and what you need, i'll work out a price with or without parts.

Painting? not sure how well the Tamiya paint will hold up inside the housing... High heat engine manifold paint or bbq paint is the best to go with. Gunmetal, white, black, blue... all available But just make sure you're patient with it or you'll screw up and totally regret it after.

Putting headlights in the oven? I sold a set of headlights to a guy once... what happened? He placed them in the oven as per the instructions on a website... 5 mins later came back and they were nothing but a lump of hot plastic. Again, be careful.. I don't recommend it... even if it doesn't melt, there's a good chance it'll get warped along the edges, making it harder to seal up, messier to seal up, and probably end up condensing in the winter.

i was just about to suggest egvinny for the amp install...do it the same time as the headlight clearing....

price list is as fellows:

Clearing:
Coupe $50
Sedan $70 (lucky for you sedans i did b4 i jacked it up, b/c it takes double the time and double the pain)

Optional:
Painting +$30 (any colour i can get the paint in....pretty much any colour)
Added Bulb Feature +$50 (ALL of the bulbs in your headlights replaced to Hyperwhites...these bulbs would cost you $60 at PacMall....only available as a clearing/bulb combo! Most get this combo)

If you want the full clear/paint/bulb combo, i'll knock off $10!

and jon....i REALLY DON'T recommend smoking the clear shell of your lights....cops will be after you for sure! If you really want me to do it, i will, but i don't want to be liable for any trouble you get into!!

Also, if you're interested, please post here and i'll let schedule you guys in! also, let me know if you want the bulb/clear combo too

70+30+50-10 = $140 for the clear color and lamp combo on the sedan. What colour would u recommend for a beige colour sedan, or am i better off just leaving it clear? I would like to get this done maybe next week sometime, are u you available during the week? How much time do you need?

I want the amp installed on a seperate board behind the seat, not mounted on the seats. I would like the amp facing outward, because once the babyseat is in , no seats are gonna be flipping down, so no point. How much would you charge for something like that, parts inclded (with amp wiring kit and extra RCA). What about parts not included and just labor. Can we set something up for today, i am off work so i can makei t down to your place.

let me know this morning.

Thanks
