i spring help....

i have only had my 2001 civic for a couple of weeks. i just ordered some velox vx-8's, in 17 inch. now i know by looking at all the member's rides, that i want to lower this thing to reduce fender gap. i have the tools and the ablility to do all the work myself, but what i don't have is the knowledge of what to buy. i just want my ride to look clean, not on the ground, and not riding like a 4X4. so what springs do u recommend??? i do alot of driving, and alot of traveling. yes, my car is under warranty. do i need a camber kit with your recommendation? do i need strut bars? fill me in please. your time will be greatly appreciated. thanx

the suspension faq should answer alot of questions.
main things you want to answer are, how low do you want your car? are you looking for the slammed look or are you just looking to kill the fender gap? how much are you willing the spend? how important is ride quality? when you modify the suspension, you can say bye bye to your suspension warranty

The Honda dealer here in shreveport, La has started putting tuner packages on their civics. They use and warrranty the Gold-Line springs. I actually just purchased a set to lower my car 1.75 in. It's not too low and it's not a 4x4. i figure if honda is going to put these springs on their cars and put them under warranty....well...i guess their good enough for me. they ride pretty well also...you can get them @ hondawerx for about 150.
