Ground Control ride quality
Ground Control ride quality
I've did a search and I really didn't find anything except that Ground Control coilovers are rough and bouncy. How different is the ride quality between these and and a set springs like Eibach Prokit or Neuspeed Sportlines? I don't have the wheels yet, but I'm thinking about getting 18's with 215/35/18 tires. I live in a city where the streets are really really rough and I do daily driving. I wanna know more about Ground Controls because I like the look and I don't have the $$$ to get Tien SS. Any inputs??......Thanks in advance.

a badd ride for someone might be considered a good ride for another. its really hard to say. best thing is just to ride in a car with them. sleeved coilovers are usually more bouncy then lowering springs tho. and with my setup, i think this is as badd as i'll take... i'm riding on neuspeed sports with 215-40-18s and its pretty rough after 9 months of having it. i've always said, if you cant afford the aftermarket shock, just stick with lowering springs. but then again alot of people have been happy with their ground controls on stock shocks so..
I have ground control with Konis and the ride is rough and bumpy. The roads are bad here in Houston. I also have 19s with 215 35 tires so that makes it ride worse. If you dont want that bad a ride go with 225 40 or 215 40 cus those 35 series are pretty rough.

But 19s says it right there why it's so bumpy. 35 series tire specifically.

I've got the Ground Control/Koni setup. I must say I'm quite pleased with the ride quality, but I just have one gripe. My rear squeeks/creaks when going over bumps slow or going around turns. The squeeking sound isn't constant, but it is annoying. On the highways it appears to be fine, but on the backroads it makes the noises. I have no idea what is causing it though. Anyone know? How are the Tien's? I may switch them out if the ride keeps squeaking/creaking.
