1.3" lowering require a camber kit?

I just dropped my '01 Si down to 1.3" with the H&R Sport springs and the wheelwell gap with my 215/40 x 17" wheels and factory struts is perfect for my liking. Question is do I need a camber kit if the negative camber is supposedly 1 degree off from stock setup? I was told by an alignment shop that there is no camber adjustment on the Hondas and that a 1 degree negative camber is really nothing to worry about other than premature wear on the inside of the tires. 1" drop is suppose to translate to 1 degree of camber...is this true?

If you agree that I should not worry about the camber kit, then I won't. Also, the alignment shop told me not to waste my cash on the front alignment as long as the steering is straight and that lowering the car won't effect alignment too much if at all.

Opinions?

I have the H&R sport on my coupe and I got a camber kit for the rear, the alignment shop was able to correct the front camber without a camber kit.

ya 1.3" drop is nothing, you dont need a camber kit as it will be within spec most of the time.

I know nothing about suspension, so here it goes... I was thinking of buying some goldlines 1.75 inch drop all around. I dont know if I need a camber kit for this, but I was afraid to even risk it... I dont need to be buying new tires... but I was wondering how much it would cost for a front and rear camber kit all together. What would I have to buy and how much would it cost? sorry for the newbie question (i've actually been reading posts for a while just never replied to any)

1.75" drop is kinda debatable... i think it should be fine, i dont have one with my neuspeed sports..
but ya anything lower then a 2.25" drop i'd say get one..
you dont need a front camber kit cause of how our front suspension is. rear costs $125 shipped. front is about $20.

over time you might have to purchase camber kti becuase it gets worse and worse every time you drive because but it will wear it just a little so its no big deal but i got them anyways.

its'll get worse and worse everytime you drive? who told you that? that would mean the springs are starting to sag which isnt true..
either you need it or you dont.. theres no, you dont need it now but you need it later..

I have the H&R sport on my LX and just got my alignment today. I have a rear camber kit. B4 the alignment my front was pretty good but my back camber was -3 degrees. This is outside the recommeded specs.

Maybe they could have put it within specs without a camber kit. I dont know but i got one.

HERE IS A LINK TO INGALLS. THEY HAVE A ROUGH CAMBER CORRECTION CHART FOR THE AMOUNT OF DROP YOU WANT ON YOUR CAR.

http://www.ingallseng.com/performance/camberchange.htm

CHECK IT OUT.IF YOU LOWER YOUR CAR.
A CAMBER KIT IS NEED UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BUY TIRES MORE OFTEN THAN OTHER PEOPLE.

IT'S YOUR CASH!

$20 SOMETHING BUCKS ISN'T THAT BAD OF A PRICE FOR A SET OF FRONT CAMBER KITS AT NEUSPEED. WHAT COULD IT HURT. iT WILL ONLY BENFIT YOU IN THE LONG RUN.

when i got my goldlines put on, the guys there told me that with a 1.75" drop you wont need a camber, if the degree is off its not off bad enough to wear you will get visibly uneven wear, just get an allignnment. so there ya go.

When you rotate your tires take a look at the inner tread. If its wore out get a camber kit.

only way to find out for sure is to get an alignment.. they can tell you if you need one or not.. but then if you get an alignment and you need a camber kit, your going to have to pay for alignment again

but ya for the most part you shouldnt need one for a 1.3" drop
