Just like Boilermaker said, you need an O2 simulator. I got mine from diabloautosports.com, but I think the website is down. Not sure why. Someone else got one from another site, but I can't remember what it was. The brand is ECG Electronics, and it's an O2 simulator for OBDII. Should be about $45.

what would happen if something really goes wrong??

so much for a light telling you, or possibly all the lights
ya if anything goes wrong he is **** outta luck. problly cost him more down the road from not knowing there is a problem than it would have been to just get an o2 simulator. oh well, not my car.

I purchased mine from Lakeeffect.com for $46.50 shipped. John from Lakeeffect.com is willing to have a GB price at $42.00 shipped with a minimun of 10 buyers. let me know wsup. i'll call him and let him know. oh yeah. they have excellent service. he guided me through the install and it hooks right up to the ECU. there is no need to run wires all over the place. he will also supply you with the 7thgen civic wiring schematic as well.
