sorry but all these whining kinda pisses me off...i used to live in richmond for like a yr and a half and thas all i heard...canadian this canadian that...i was always picked on as the girl from la...i didnt care though...cuz i just learned to ignore all ur canadian pride thing..im not hating it just gets annoying...to me at least...but whatevers, my mom loves it there...she still lives there but i chose to go back here...although i do think whistler's a nice spot...but the rain sucks there, in vancouver at least...i hate rain! i do know how to spell im just 2 lazy 2 do it...i like shorthand when i type...and plus i dont hate canada...canada's not a bad country...i just hate the way all these cappin on americans go on, i gotta hear it everytime i go there...i read the canadian side of the forum cuz im interested in wats goin on around vancouver and stuff since i do know some people there and i lived there for a short time...and plus like my mom and my sister are still there and i do go there like 2-3 times a yr...anywayz, yea beer's coo there...kokanee's pretty good i guess but i'm not a beer type of chick...like i said im not hatin im just kinda tired of all these canadian pride stuff, i guess i just heard it too much when i was there...go ahead and flash ur pride i dont care im just expressin my opinions and thoughts...can i say freedom of speech here...geez...

o yea, one reason y i prob dont like canada is cuz when my bf and i were drivin around richmond, some idiot rear-ended his is300 and totally messed up the bumper...people cant drive there (in richmond at least)...although i didnt mind the fact that there were wrx's everywhere i went...im diggin that...

education, high school at least, was a lot better there, well i mean it prepared me for college here pretty well...but the stupid provincials were just dumb...esp the biology one and the english one..

stupid loonies and twonies (dunno if i spelled that right or not so MY BAD alrite) make my wallet heavy...though the diff colors btwn the paper bills do make it easier to distinguish btwn what's what...

anywayz, thats all i can think of...oh yeah i do love tim ho's though...mmm english toffee capp...

I gotta comment on this:

Canadian pride, I see! Yeah I guess I have a hard time feeling sorry fo you considering every day we wake up the American way is pushed onto so many other societies. I don't have a problem with the U.S., I think they have a wonderful country and stand up for their beliefs, but I do have a problem with people ragging on any other country taking pride in their own.

I mean a simple way of putting it is looking at how much American propaganda we see every day. Everything from televisions shows throughout the day, to movies that basically state the Americans save the world anytime there is a problem in society (Example: Independance Day, Armageddon.............) Finally, I am far happier in knowing that I can go to Europe and state I am a Canadian and not get hated for it, or even other areas across the Atlantic for that matter.

That's really all I had to say, not trying to attack the original poster, just simply trying to point out everyone takes pride in their country, if you don't like it don't travel, and definately don't come on to a Canadian forum and expect what you said to go unoticed.

Randy I got my car fixed today 100 bucks that was it. They also quoted me 450 to have my emblem removed! Sounds like a good price to me...

450 to remove a little "H", I wouldn't bother. You could spend that on rims or so many other things to give your car a much more significant change in look. But hey that is just me. I am sure you already took that into consideration.

Paint would only be about $200 so, $250 for removing the H and a little bondo sounds kinda high.

Guys,
Do you know what is involved in removing the "H" from the back of your car. You have to remove th e H first of all! then it leaves two nice holes in your trunk that need to filled and painted. That means, you have to repaint the holes and redo the clear coat on the whole trunk. In my case remove the spoiler has to be removed as well. The paint alone is like 200 and there is several hours labour involved. If you guys think you can have it done somewhere else cheaper let me know. I was quoted 800 somewhere else that is why I thought 450 was a good deal. Help me out! Have you ever seen a civic without any emblems? It looks tight! I would rather have that done then get my windows tinted. I don't like the tint look! I think that it looks classy with out tint! But hey what ever floats your boat right?

I think everyone is just blown away by the price of removing such a small figure on your car. Not by the price that it would cost. After taking labor into consideration, not a bad price.

Where I have reservations about it is, it doesn't really make all that significant of a change to your car. At the stage I am at with my car, (External practically being stock) I would rather perform something drastic. I am not saying that it wouldn't look sweet, if I had the money I would do it too, but the dollar bills these days seem to fall few and far between.

I know you don't like the tint thing, but I always have liked how a car looks when you have all 5 windows done. I always see it on a nice Beemer, and think it looks clean and mysterious.

I think it looks better on a black or white car, but that isn't to say it doesn't look good on other colors, as Rob is trying to state, just my piece of the pie.

Why do you want to go to Strawberry Hill? I hate that cheap ghetto theatre. It's so small! Besides if we go there we might have our cars ripped off! Not that guildford is any better for the whole car theft thing but at least the theatre is better. It's playing at Guildford at 9:45! how does that sound?
