yup sounds like they did not cut off one of the sections of the bump stop.
You should have installed them your self.
No one cares about your car as much as you do.

bumpstops come with the stock suspension. its on the shock... its like 3" big. you cut it down to like 2" so that you have 1" more shock travel, something you need when you lower your car 1.75".(these figures are aproximate and not exact). if you dont cut them, you might only have like 1" shock travel which isnt much, causing your shocks to bottom out on these bumpstops, thus making the rear "bang".
try pushing down one of the corners of the car, if it seems like you can compress it any more even with 1000 lbs of pressure, they probably didnt cut them. oh btw, our panels are weak so make sure you dont dent anything while trying this...

NytRyder2k2 is on a distinguished road
i think it might be because u switched from riding on springs to coilovers. the ride is so much better with springs imo. when i had skunk2 coilovers the ride was crappy!

Hm... that explains why my FRONT suspension completely eats potholes HORRIBLY! The rear is fine, but the front... goddamn! It was funny because when the shop I gave it to (unfortunately) did it, they had the front higher than the rear (I guess so the car could get out of their driveway) and it would take the bad roads without such a "bang". I lowered the front more and as you said... the struts bottom out. It's horrible. I think I'd rather have the rear bottom out than the front because everything in the front has to take an undeserved beating.

I cannot wait to toss out my ground controls for the FLT-A2s.
