HP 4-1 Racing Header Help Please. Need It in a Hurry
I'm outside trying to put on the Hp Racing Header w/ High flow Cat right now and need all the help I can get fast. I have an LX automatic 4 dr. and I got the header mounted to the engine fine, but I can't get the cat piece to blolt up. I can't figure out what to do. The front Sway bar seems to be in the way. I losered it, but then you can't get it back up with the cat piece bolted above the sway bar. Anyone got pictures underneath and/or a descripton of how to get the cat piece to bolt up correctly. I did a search but couldn't really find anything and I checked the DIY by OverTheTop, but it isn't helping me with this problem.

Looking through my Honda shop manual I can't take off the sway bar outside my house, Looks like a shop will be getting some money.
OverTheTop mentions needing the sway bar for the LX Coupe "The LX coupe you will need to replace the sway bar with EX sway bar, which can be purchased from Honda for about $100" I got the sedan though. Do I still need it? Is the sway bar different betweon the 2dr. and the 4dr. model?
Thanks for the info. I hope I can get the stock header back on I guess, but I think I stripped the nut by the alternator. Any ideas on getting it off if it is stripped?

i also drove around without a sway bar for about a week while i waited to get it from hondawerx
juss take corners real slow and no quick lane changes and you're fine

I gave up on it last night and struggled to put it back together in the light cold rain. so a stock EX sway bar from the coupe should do it, but according to hondaautomotiveparts.com it looks like the LX and the EX sway bar are the same size though (I got links above). Since you have actually seen both sway bars are they different in size/shape? I'd just like some more confirmation to put my mind at ease.
ok the sway bars are the same size... like 25.4 mm or sumthin like that
but they are differently shaped. the EX one has more of a hump to clear the cat
while the LX one is flatter because there is no cat to clear there.
i put the EX and LX sway bars next to each other when i got them
and the EX one had its bends about an inch different from the LX
... you could just install the header, take the sway bar off
and put the EX one on when you get it

if you decide to leave the front sway bar off while you're driving..
becareful during turns, and curves on freeway... the car will handle differently. and in a sense unsafe too.
you'll definitely need the ex front sway bar. runs for about 80 bucks.

np... i just went through all of this a couple weeks ago.
ya like cap yoda said. you'll need the sway bar eventually
but it can wait for a week or two. just dont take turns hard
and they are like $80 US from hondawerx, just talk to greg

One last question and I should be done. I got a 4dr. LX, so should I be getting the 4dr. EX Sway Bar or the 2dr? Didn't know if the 4dr and 2dr are different or not. Obviously since I got a 4dr. car I would be get the 4dr. ex sway bar, but I want to make sure for the purpose of the Headers/Greddy Cat Back should I be getting a 4dr. or 2dr. EX Sway Bar.

I'd just like to say what a great community ths has become and what great members populate it. I tried to do as much research and searches as possible on the forums and other places, but I never saw a post mentioning the need to switch out the front sway bar.
Thanks again much appreciated all.
