I've done my whole inside with blue lights. i didn't use any gels or anything i just took the old lenses out and replaced the clear LEDs with Blue ones. You can't really change the lights on the auto shifter. I just unplugged the light on that so it doesn't light up at all. If you take it apart you see that the letters are like printed onto the plastic in that redish/orange color already and theres no way of taking it off, its like one piece. So unless you want to be super creative and make a new or something, you can't change the color.

I used a 660 ohm resistor with each blue LED. I used 2600 mcd ones, i think they're rated at like 3.7 volts or something, don't remember. The brightness seems to be a pretty good level
