I've had Nitto NT-450(215/35-18) and NT-555(205/40-17), both seemed to last quite a while for me..........

If you want tires that will last longer look for some with a high tread wear rating. My NT-450's have a rating of 300. The DOT standard is 100, so this means my tires will wear 3 times better than the DOT standard. There are also temperature ratings to think about too, A being the highest, next is B, and then C. Those ratings are how well a tire can take heat that it generates and how well it can dissipate it. The minimum standard is C. The traction levels of a tire from highest to lowest are AA, A, B, and C.

Rider,

Hankook Ventus Plus ZR have a tread wear of 220 and are almost a compitition compound tire. thats why they lasted 3 months. Because they are soft and sticky! your Yokohamas may last longer, but they definitly don't stick as well as the Hankooks.
