My 2k1 LX 5 speed vs 99 EX 5 speed
Me:
Magnaflow catback
No spare tire
20psi in the front tires
1/2 tank gas
Him:
No muffler
20psi in the front tires
Runnin on fumes.
It was just a friendly race on a back road in rancho santa fe, CA. He was afraid of loosing so we took his muffler off before hand, and lowered the pressure in his front tires as well.
1st race. I got a bad launch and spun the tires a little too much, when they finally hooked we both were pulling about the same speed, but he had about 1/3 on me. Shift to 2nd with a little tire squeal, and he's 1/2 car ahead. Sitting in 3rd and I start to reel him in. By the time i got to 85 and into 4th i was gaining fast and shut it down.
2nd pass. Better launch, but he still got 1/2 car on me thru 2nd. 3rd gear came around, and I reeled him in again.
We didnt race for very long, but by the time we both shutdown (around 90ish) , i was already 1/2 car ahead and pulling away faster.
Then my buddy jon has to show us all up with his SS Camero thats making 380ish hp to the wheels and destroy us [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
