Alpine is usualy pretty good. I have some 10"s that sound tight, but it's still pretty loud. If you want really good quality spend your money an an AMP, and deck more than speakers. As long as you have a good balance of subs and mids and tweets you should be fine. It's easy to be loud but it's hard to be clear.
subs: JL audio, Alpine, Image Dynamics, Soundstream, MB Qyart
Amps: Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Soundstream
mids,and tweets: Focal, MB Quart, and some Infinity
head units: Eclipse, Alpine, some Pioneer
Always remember you get what you pay for.
Good luck, post pics if you get something going .

Sorry for the repost,
By the way, our factory speakers are 6.5" in the door (you can cut the factory speakers to allow for after market)
and in the rear just Pioneer 6x9"s

thx jeff and ludlam, i got a sony mp3 motorized flip deck, i notice lots of bad feedbacks for the cheap sony cd players, but the expensive ones isn't that bad...well i guess next thing is the amps and speakers....no subs for clarity right?

No subs can have great clarity they just have to bu tuned, and installed correctly.
Personally I have a XTANT 10" A410 and it is one of my clearest sounding subs. I have it in a .6 cubic ft box aimed directly at the bottom of the rear deck.

Thanks, LudlamTheory, I wan't aware that they were diff from coupe to Sedan, good to know.
And as far as JDOG goes, It all depends what kind of sound you like personally I love the sound of 10's just cause their pretty tight but still low enugh, you are right about the fact that you don't get a full range out of them or anything. But that's why you need front and rear fill.
whast i'm saying is:
sub = bass
mids = mid fill
you need a balance to sound good.
Good Luck with it guys!
