Need opinions on Tint %
My friend is buying rayban tint he asked me what percentage he should put, hes got a 2000 silver civic hatchback what would look best?
hi,
here's my experience with tint: (for the record, i have a 2001 eternal blue pearl coupe)
i started with 20% tint all around. look good, but i couldn't see out of the windows in the dark. i was told i would get used to it, but after a week, i was still rolling down the windows to see if there were any pedestrians that i might hit when making a turn.
i had the side windows stripped and now have 35% on the two side windows and 20% on the back and the little side windows. doesn't look bad and it is way easier for me to drive at night.
mebbe i just have bad night vision (lacking vitamin A?).

I have a 35/20 tint... and my car is black. I've seen the same tint on silver and it looks good too.
From what I know, 35% tint for the driver and passenger side windows are the legal limit and the rears can be as dark as you want.

a police officer would find it really hard to know what kind of activity is going on if a traffic violation is taking part.
i know i would be curious to have my hand on a trigger just incase something were to happen!
