Question about reading a TSB
I have the problem with my tranny popping out of 2nd gear. Link to TSB below
TSB Link
I have a question about what I'm reading there. Am I correct to assume that fixing this problem should take a total of 6.3 hours? I'm just curious cause tomorrow I take my car in for this and the dealership told me they'll need the car for 3 days. I know some will say they need time to order the parts but they have already been ordered since my first visit, and are in stock.
Should I take a copy of the TSB in and ask why they need it for 3 days?

They prolly want it for 3 days because they aren't going to spend 6.3 hours straight on it. They'll probably drop the tranny out and leave it, cuz someone else who's busy at the moment will do that. Then when that part is done someone else will check it then do the next part, yada, yada... and they want to cover their ***. It would be stupid to say it'll take 1 day then keep telling you it's not done yet. If they say 3, and it's done in 1.5, then you think they did a good job because they got it done in 1/2 the time they said.
Well I had the same problem with the car popping out of second gear. They had my car for 22 days because after they performed the TSB it was still popping out of second. So they replaced 1st , 2nd, 3rd, and 5th gear for another TSB along with the outer transmission housing and it no longer popped out of second, but now it popped out of 4th. Honda ended up sending the shop an entire tranmission and now I'm all good. All this with only 9000 miles on the car. So it may take them awhile to get the problem fixed right.

Mine is poping out of 2nd again. They fixed it once, when I had about 14,000 miles on it. Now I have 43,000 miles. I hope this dosent happen every 30,000 miles.
