What is the "BG Service Kit" needed at 30K mi?

It's referenced in the owner's manual.

I checked here and the internet and found only

"Install BG Service Kit (44K Fuel Induction Cleaner and Motor Oil Additive)"

from http://www.southern-motors.com/honda/service.html

Should be "injection cleaner" and I'm not going to do the oil additive.

there is no "BG Service Kit" needed at all -- that is something probably recommended by the dealer, check your owners manual(not service schedule you got when you bought it) and you'll see its not in there with any of the maintenance checks -- or call different dealers

The BG fuel injection service is when they hook up a can of cleaner directly to the fuel line. Then run the car off the can until it's empty. It works great, but is probably not neccessary after only 30k. You're better off using a bottle of Techron every other oil change.

If Honda recommends it, why not do it? From what I hear BG44K is the best stuff you can buy. It should remove any carbon buildup that you have. Although your engine shouldnt be in that bad of shape after 30k unless you use crappy gas all the time, I would go for it anyways, just consider it preventative maintenance.

Here's a link to BG Products. I wonder if the Honda dealers use the same kit they sell off this site.. hrrmph. If so I think I might buy one. Sounds like a good way to clean the whole system.
