stock shocks are ok on any drop but they will go out sooner than at stock height. most people don't have problems with a small drop like that. i say just keep you stock shocks until they blow. they may blow soon after you put em on they may blow in 2 years. just don't auto X and don't make hard turns n such.

I don't know why people act like a 1.5" - 2.0" drop isn't anything. It's quite a bit actually. IMO, anything over an inch is going to blow the oe shocks in a few months or less. If yours don't blow in that time you are EXTREMELY lucky or you don't realize that you are riding on blown shocks.

I have the goldlines witha 1.75 (now 2 in. drop). I am buying Koni's in 2 weeks. I have lasted a lil over a year on the stock shocks, but I can feel them weakening. i bottom out alot easier now. IMO, get a full coilover setup or make sure you get aftermarket Shock/struts. Tornactive sells the Koni's for 555 shipped. So you will spend about 700-800 on your setup + install. by doing it this way you may save yourself 200 bucks versus getting tein ss all sadi and done.
Or do it in staged like me. 200 one year, 555 the next.
