OK. I 'm getting my windows tinted soon but was confused about what percentages go with what. I have a white sedan and was wondering if I wanted to go legal in the front what percentage would look good on the back and rear window. I wanted to go real dark in the back but having legal in the front with dark in the back may look ugly. I would also hate to go through all the trouble of getting my window tinted and then being pulled over because i have them to dark.

Basically i just want opinions on some good combinations (maybe what you have or going to get) on the back and front window so that it looks clean.

well the front you cant tint at all.. i went with 5% in back and 15 or 20% in front . had it for over a year and still havnt gotten caught... most cops are going to just pull you over just for tint.. like the other day, i was right next to a cop and he didnt say anything. ya i hate the look where the back in tinted and the front isnt so i would go ahead and tint the front. and if your going to tint it, dont do no 50% cause its still illegal. just go with whatever you want cause its illegal anyways, no such thing as something being more illegal.

yeah, i'd go with as dark as you like. since it is sunny most of the time during the day it doesn't look that dark and at night everything looks dark so it doesn't really matter.

I have a Nighthawk black pearl vic.....6% rear and back w/32% front is perfect. With the stock dark interior it looks a lil darker too. I highly doubt i'll ever get a ticket unless i get pulled over for my exhaust first or something haha. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

5% rear / 35% front... cops look at me and never pull me over

Anything lower than 35% on the front is deadly at night...

 

i got limo for the rear, and 20% for the front. i wish i went darker in the front tho. cuz during the day, you can still see inside it like it was barely tinted. i don't like it. but i haven't gotten pulled over yet, tho. *knock on wood* [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

I was going to that at first but i am leaning towards privacy more than looks.

And oh yeah thanks for all the opinions so far. I'm leaning towards 30% in the front and 20% in the back. Not dark but I'm not paying (Christmas present) and my mom said she does not want to be responsible for any tickets that I get
